I was awarded a scholarship and attended Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio, and I have continued my art education by regularly participating in workshops and classes. My work has received many awards in various local, regional and national shows and competitions, and it has been accepted into invitational and juried shows. I ha
I was awarded a scholarship and attended Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio, and I have continued my art education by regularly participating in workshops and classes. My work has received many awards in various local, regional and national shows and competitions, and it has been accepted into invitational and juried shows. I have had several solo exhibitions and am represented in private collections throughout the country. My work has also been published in several books and magazines.

Making art is my favorite activity. I’m currently working mainly in acrylics, collage and mixed media, but also enjoy pastels, alcohol ink and watercolor, and I’m always open to learn more and try something new.

I enjoy creating new visual statements by using shapes, patterns, colors and values. I try to look beyond what is obvious and reach inside for a different way of seeing and presenting images and ideas. Experimenting and working with different media and styles is exciting. Living in the Carolinas provides daily inspiration, from the breathtaking colors of sunrises and sunsets to the ever-changing views of Lake Norman, the fascinating flora and fauna around our home, and the beautiful mountains and beaches. I enjoy painting still life, animals, landscapes and the occasional abstract just for the fun of it.
